Micromate

Seamlessly record vibration, sound/noise level, or air overpressure with just one monitoring unit. The Micromate was custom engineered with a rugged and reliable design to withstand harsh conditions, including water resistance. Experience zero dead time that includes 10 to 15 days of uninterrupted monitoring with the provided internal battery. The Micromate’s 15 MB of memory can store up to 1,000 events, upgradeable to 4,000 events with the extended 60 MB memory option.

The Micromate is light and portable. It is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and features a high-resolution color touchscreen display with a QWERTY keypad. It features a built-in USB port so you can easily connect a USB flash drive to transfer events or even update the unit’s firmware – quickly, easily, and all in the field without the need for a computer.

The Micromate comes with three channels for a triaxial geophone and one channel for an air overpressure or sound-level microphone. Each base unit is coupled with a geophone and configured to meet one of the following industry standards: International Society of Explosives Engineers (ISEE-2022), Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN 45669-1), Swedish Blasting (SS4604866), and Swedish Pile Driving (SS025211).

Features

alt
Touch-Screen Display

The Micromate features a touch screen display with large, high resolutions graphics, and a keypad. The full display touch screen QWERTY keyboard makes entry of data and notes convenient and easy.

Expansive Memory

Includes an internal, non-volatile memory of 15 MB that can store up to 1000 events. An optional upgrade increases the memory to 60 MB for a storage capacity of over 4000 events.

Real-Time OS

Feel confident knowing that you will never miss an event. If the event lasts longer than the preconfigured record time, the Micromate will continue to capture the event. Trigger once, but capture each and every event while keeping your sample size small.

Built-In USB

Standard on every Micromate unit is a USB port with operating speeds of up to 12 MBps. Connect a USB flash drive to transfer events or even update the unit’s firmware – quickly, easily and all in the field without the need for a computer. Choose the optional auxiliary port and get additional support for remote alarms, external wire triggers and more! With the Micromate, the possibilities are endless.

Rugged and Reliable Design

The Micromate is built to last. The main unit comes with a fully sealed top panel. The non-corrosive fully sealed industrial-grade connectors are labeled and color-coded for easy identification and installation. Custom molded housings for the base unit are made of superior impact polycarbonate. An optional protective “boot” provides the highest level of durability and ruggedness available in Instantel’s product line. The operating temperature range is -40 to 55 °C (-40 to 131 °F). Reliability is at the core of everything Instantel makes!

Flexible Power Solutions

Experience 10 to 15 days of uninterrupted monitoring with its internal battery. The battery life can easily be extended by connecting a solar panel or an external battery and is ideal for remote or permanent installations.

Instantel seismographs are the flagship instruments for monitoring construction and blasting vibrations. We wanted to complement the Micromate with a simple and reliable remote monitoring system we call the Powercase. We rent and sell these turn-key systems all over the U.S., the best part is we set them up for our customers remotely so most monitoring projects can be active within 24 hours.
